I'm a wife, a mom to a busy two-year-old boy, and a Grade 3 remedial teacher with a passion for helping children learn, grow and thrive.

With qualifications in Inclusive and Special Needs Education, I've spent years supporting children with diverse learning and sensory needs.

Why I Started Calm Threads

Every day in the classroom I see how the right sensory support can help children become calmer, more focused and more confident.

I wanted families to have access to practical, beautiful sensory products that are thoughtfully made—not mass produced.
